  4. Visit for Nelnet Payment Plan Information. Type in Mid Michigan College when asked to Find Your School’s Information. Set up an automatic payment plan using Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS). NBS charges a fee of $30 for using their payment plan service. If a credit/debit card is used, a convenience fee in addition to the enrollment fee will be assessed. You can opt to pay in full on Nelnet using your checking/savings account for only $3. Depending on when you set up your payment plan, the number of payments that you make will vary.

Instructions for Making Adjustments to your Nelnet (NBS)

If you choose a payment plan, it MUST be set up by the tuition due date or you will be dropped from your courses.

The enrollment fee must still be paid to Mid on the day of registration to secure courses, even if you use the payment plan.

Please do not assume your payment plan balance will automatically be adjusted if a financial aid award is added to your account or you drop or add a course. Review your agreement online through the Nelnet Account link above or contact us at (989) 386-6611.

Students now have the ability to make payments and adjustments to their own Nelnet Payment Plan. Please see the instructions under the section labeled NBS Payment Plan above. If you do not have access to your Nelnet Payment Plan, Mid requires a signature for any adjustments to a payment plan. You can complete the "Change of Status Form" for an adjustment in Student Services on the Harrison or Mt. Pleasant Campus. Changes will NOT be made over the phone.

PLEASE NOTE Nelnet Business Solutions requires that a change must occur TWO (2) business days before a scheduled payment date for the change to take effect.
