Mid Michigan College, in partnership with ed2go, offers online short-term training options that can be started at any time, are designed to provide trainees with the necessary skills to begin careers in many in-demand fields, and often include industry-recognized certifications. Many topics and careers are featured, start exploring today!

For a limited time only! Use Reconnect for Short-Term Training.

Michigan Reconnect Short-Term Training funding provides eligible individuals with a one-time scholarship up to $1,500 to cover training costs.

You can use Reconnect Short-Term Training funding for the following trainings at Mid.

To be eligible you must

  • Be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Have lived in Michigan for at least a year.
    • If you are a dependent student, your parents must also meet the residency requirements.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or certificate of completion.
  • Have not yet completed an associate or bachelor's degree.

Don’t wait — you must apply by December 15, 2024 and start training by December 31, 2024 to qualify. 

  • Reconnect Short-Term Training funding is available for a limited time only — don’t miss the deadlines to apply, register, and begin training!
  • To qualify, you must indicate Mid Michigan College as your training provider on your application.

Funding Available For Many Training Opportunities

Many of these training opportunities qualify for cost assistance through MI Works! or MI Rehabilitation Services. Through such programs, participants can offset most or nearly all associated training costs. To learn if you qualify for any of these programs, contact your local MI Works! or MI Rehab Services agency.

Mid's Short-Term Training options do not qualify for college credit, but often provide the preparation for or achievement of industry credentials and certifications.
