If you are an International Student who wishes to attend Mid, complete these next steps so you can receive an I-20 Certificate of Eligibility.
Complete the Mid Michigan College Application. Be sure to supply your name exactly as it is printed on your passport.
Submit your high school diploma/transcripts and/or all college diplomas/transcripts in English. University transcripts from outside the United States must have a Course-by-Course evaluation completed through World Education Services (WES).
Submit your TOEFL score (Mid requires a minimum of 500 on paper-based tests or 61 for internet-based tests) or an ELS score of 109 or IELTS of 5.0. Mid will also accept a DuoLingo overall score higher than 90. All scores should be submitted to international@midmich.edu.
For prospective international students the above scores are mandatory and if the score is not met or exceeded your application will not be considered. Prospective international students who are citizens or permanent residents of select countries, qualify for exemption from English Language Proficiency admission requirements. Submit a financial statement verifying that you have the financial resources to cover $27,270 USD (2023-2024 rates) in expenses for each year, for non-health science majors. Bank statements, affidavits of sponsorship, etc. should be supplied to support the financial statement.
If you have made arrangements to reside with a friend or relative while attending Mid and can provide a signed Financial Support Form, financial verification limits may be reduced.
It's very important for students and sponsors to fully evaluate financial resources before pursuing admission as Mid has no grants, loans, or student employment available for international students and, based upon F-1 student visa rules/regulations, international students are not eligible to work off-campus

Mid asks that you provide proof of health insurance coverage, but this is optional. You can purchase health insurance for approximately $500 per year, through HTH Worldwide, Specialty Risk International, Inc., or International Student Insurance (ISI). These are just three possible health insurance options, there are many others.
