This course covers the fundamentals of criminal investigation including techniques of surveillance; search at the scene of the crime; collection, recording and preservation of evidence; interviewing witnesses; interrogation of suspects; methods used in the police science laboratory; and cooperation with other agencies in investigation procedures. Prerequisite: CJS.201
