Showcase Event Highlights Student Work

In order to highlight student work and innovation, Mid Michigan College is hosting a Student Showcase on each campus.  These events, which everyone is encouraged to attend, take place 8:30AM-1PM Tuesday, April 23 on the College’s Harrison Campus in the Technical Education Center with awards being presented at 12:30pm and 10am-3pm Wednesday, April 24 on the Mt. Pleasant Campus in the Community Room with awards being presented at 2:30pm.

“The Student Showcase is an important event that allows students to interact with staff, faculty, and community members as they present their work and answer questions,” said Ryan Dziedzic, Biology Lectureship and Student Showcase Committee Member. “The event closes the loop on skills like strategic planning, critical thinking, and public speaking.”

Exhibits include an array of projects and displays, including research papers, speeches, sculptures, short films, posters, and demonstrations, from both general education and career-technical courses.
