Class Description
Learn the basics of mountain biking to get you started safely on the trails. Trail etiquette and signage, bike setup, balance, front wheel lifts, and drops are the primary skills you’ll learn at this clinic.
A mountain bike, helmet, and flat pedals required.

Steven Keeley
Steve has lived in the Clare area for 21 years and is an avid mountain biker with over 30 years of experience. He has made it a goal to ride every singletrack trail in Michigan and is close to achieving it while also riding many trails in other states. He has helped build and maintain singletrack trails throughout the state and has been a board member for Central Michigan Mountain Bike Association for two years. His engineering education and experience may provide for some, a more analytical take on the mountain biking scene.
Central Michigan Mountain Bike Association
The Central Michigan Mountain Bike Association (CMMBA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization who teaches both adults and children trail stewardship and healthy living through mountain biking. CMMBA also focuses on creating a bicycle friendly community through cycling awareness, safety advocacy, and promotion of bicycling for fun, fitness, and transportation. The CMMBA seeks to preserve, protect, and promote mountain bike access and diverse riding opportunities on Michigan’s public and private lands through education, communication, and unified action.Check out www.cmmba.org for more info.
