Registration for the fall semester is underway at Mid Michigan College. Fall semester courses begin August 25, 2018, and it is important that students register as soon as possible to get the best selection of classes.

“Classes fill up quickly,” said Karry Kiste-Toner, Director of Mentoring and Retention at Mid. “It’s important that students attend orientation, apply for financial aid, and register for classes as early as possible.”

For over 50 years, Mid Michigan College has been providing access to educational opportunities and cultural experiences in the mid-Michigan area. Each year, thousands of students across Michigan attend Mid. Some are pursuing goals of enrichment, others are preparing to transfer to a university, and still others are training for a technical career. While their motives may be different, the support they receive from Mid is the same — personal, proactive, and positive.

At Mid, students now get more individualized attention than ever before. All incoming students are paired with a Mid Mentor who guides them through the registration process and works one-on-one with them until graduation. Academic Advisors contribute to this personalized approach by assisting students in course selection and creating an educational pathway to success based on each student’s individual goals.

With small class sizes, dedicated staff, and academic assistance programs, Mid makes student success the priority. When our students achieve their dreams, we do too. When our students stay in the area and apply their newfound skills in the local workforce, our communities flourish.

This is Mid at its very core — building confidence, knowledge, and leadership in our students, empowering them to better themselves, their lives, and the communities in which they live.
