As part of Mid Michigan College’s effort to empower, support, and transform local communities, the College recently hosted Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce’s Local Business Resource Panel.
The event focused on connecting small and large businesses to the many resource organizations available in the local area. Representatives from the Mid Michigan Region Small Business Development Center, Middle Michigan Development Corporation, Central Michigan University Research Corporation, and Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! served on the panel.
“We wanted local businesses to be aware of the resources available and make sure they take full advantage of them,” noted Bret Hyble, President and CEO of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce.
“The College has always been a community partner and is increasing efforts to support local organizations across mid-Michigan. Mid is firmly committed to developing knowledge and ability to empower learners and transform communities,” noted Scott Mertes, Vice President of Community Outreach and Advancement.
