Mid Michigan College recently received a $5,000 grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation to support the Lakers Leadership Fund of the Mid Michigan College Foundation.
The Lakers Leadership Fund supports additional College activities that promote Mid’s mission to advance access to education and to support students in improving their lives through meaningful skill and scholarly attainment.
Consumers Energy will receive recognition for this generous donation by having their name featured as the sponsor of Mid’s Laker Life office on the Harrison Campus. Laker Life supports student success through the organization of enrichment events for students and community members.
The Laker Life team is also responsible for the Mid Foundation’s Students of Promise program which promotes cultural awareness, academic achievement, higher education, and social development to 25 seventh graders each year who are academically promising students facing significant challenges in their lives.
“We are grateful to our friends at the Consumers Energy Foundation for their continued support of the College and our students,” noted Tom Olver, Associate Vice President of the Mid Foundation.
