Mid Michigan Community College is committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff. In an effort to keep the campus community informed, aware, and safe, the college has a notification system, MidAlert!, which allows college administration to send notifications out to the campus community. There are two components to the system:

  1. Emergency notifications for time-sensitive information such as emergency situations, inclement weather, or campus closures
  2. General campus information such as activities, notices, and announcements.

By default, currently enrolled students will be automatically called at their newest phone number on file to alert them of emergency situations. Please log into your MMCC profile page to review your current phone numbers and choose the level of MidAlert! messaging that you would like to receive. Students may elect to opt-out of calls and messaging, but they will continue to receive email notifications at their @midmich.edu email account.

Your MidAlert! preferences must be reviewed and confirmed every year; otherwise, the default setting will take effect.

MidAlert! subscribers authorize Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) and its agents and contractors to contact them at current and any future home and cellular phone number(s) or wireless device(s) provided or may provide to MMCC as part of their student records in admissions, enrollment, financial, or support student services.

Regardless of my choices regarding communication via text messaging, subscribers understand that MMCC and its agents and contractors will send notifications and communications to the subscriber's @midmich.edu email address. Additional communication may also be in the form of automated/pre-recorded or live phone calls to any phone numbers on file with the College.

MidAlert! subscribers may withdraw my consent for text messages at any time by submitting a request in writing to MMCC Admissions at admissions@midmich.edu. Subscribers understand that granting of this authorization is not a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services. Subscribers understand that they may be charged by telephone, Internet, or wireless service provider in connection with communications authorized here.
