Paying for college doesn't have to be complicated and we're here to help. At Mid, we aren't just focused on your academic goals, we see you for the complete individual that you are—with family, friends, challenges, and triumphs. We're here to support you in and out of the classroom and help you succeed.

Maximize your college investment! On average, two years at Mid saves students $16,000* on their bachelor's degree vs. Michigan public universities. And most of Mid's students receive financial aid to offset their college costs even further.

83% of first-time, full-time freshman receive aid to offset costs and 2 out of 3 Mid students attend tuition-free!

Options for aid include federal funding, like grants or loans, or scholarships. Mid also employs many student workers through both College funding and the Federal Work-Study Program.

Scholarships

Through one online application, you can sign up for all Mid Michigan College scholarships. Scholarship applications are open from October 1 through March 15.

High school graduates from the class of 2023 onward are eligible for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship. This is a new scholarship from the State of Michigan and students could receive up to $2,750 per year for up to 3 years as a Mid student. Simply complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility.

Are you 25+ and looking to begin or restart your college education? Returning to or beginning school a bit later in life is a big, bold, and brave step—way to go! We know this is a big investment in your future, and the Michigan Reconnect Scholarship can help. This scholarship pays a large portion of tuition and mandatory fees for eligible adults 25 years of age and older who want to pursue a qualifying college degree or certificate. Federal Aid

Your aid package will be determined based on your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which you can fill out at StudentAid.gov. Mid's School Code is 006768.

Work Study and Student Employment

We employ many student workers at Mid in positions from facilities and grounds maintenance to assistants, ambassadors, and bookstore clerks. Students in these roles earn a regular paycheck while working shifts that accommodate their College schedules. All students can apply for student worker jobs.

We know that financial challenges often get in the way of your plans for college. Beyond tuition, the day-to-day cost of living and surprise expenses can make paying for college a struggle. Mid is here to help with a new Student Emergency Fund and additional federal funds that can help students overcome challenges outside of the classroom. The College also has many other support services available, including loaner internet access hotspot devices, no-cost mental health counseling, an on-campus food pantry, transportation assistance, and more. Visit midmich.edu/wellness for more information.

You can spread out payments for the upcoming semester by using our convenient payment plan through NelNet Solutions. Visit mycollegepaymentplan.com and type in Mid Michigan College when asked to Find Your School’s Information.
