ARTICULATION PARTNERS

Mid Michigan College has articulation agreements that allow a seamless transition from prerequisite courses taken at the institutions listed below, to apply to the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program.

Prerequisite classes offered at NMC to be completed prior to admission into the PTA Program are as follows:

ENG 111 4 English Composition
COM 111 4 Public Speaking

BIO 227 and BIO 228 both need to be taken at NMC to transfer to Mid as BIO 141 and BIO 142.

PTA 101, which is a prerequisite (Orientation to Physical Therapy, 1 credit) is to be taken at Mid or equivalent earned

The following General Education courses included in the shared PTA curriculum are offered at NMC. It is recommended that they be completed prior to beginning the program.

For all prerequisite courses, a grade of a “B-“ or higher must be earned unless an institution uses a non-standard scale. Then, a grade of a BC (2.5) must be earned.

Anatomy & Physiology courses must have been completed within five years of the date the student formally begins the program.

Students who have earned a four-year degree from an accredited institution are exempt from both the 100 and 200 Level General Education Requirements.
