Amanda M. Wismer PT, DPT, MSA
Director of PTA Program
Amanda Wismer earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Promotion and Rehabilitation from Central Michigan University, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Oakland University.
Amanda has been in her role at Mid since 2011. In addition to her teaching experience, Amanda has over ten years experience working as a Physical Therapist (PT). Amanda started her career as a traveling PT for two years, was employed by MidMichigan Health for four years, and currently works as a casual/on-call employee for various skilled nursing/rehabilitation and acute care facilities in the area. This allows Amanda to continue to enhance her direct patient care skills and bring up-to-date knowledge from the current field to students.
Crystal Parker PTA, BS, DCE
Crystal Parker has been a full-time instructor and the clinical coordinator for the PTA Program since its inception in 2008. Crystal obtained her AAS in Physical Therapist Assistant from Delta College and her BS in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. Over the course of her career prior to Mid, she has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, acute care, long-term care, and home care treating patients of all ages.
