Chris Goffnett

IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity


Chris Goffnett earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Information Systems and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from Central Michigan University (CMU).

He has been teaching at Mid Michigan College since 1999 and has also taught at CMU. Goffnett brings over 12 years of field experience as a network administrator and over 20 years of IT experience into the classroom. His non-networking roles have included desktop support, data processing, COBOL programmer, and learning management system administrator.

Beyond his work at Mid, he enjoys running, physical activity, watching his kids' sporting activities, and volunteering in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

Deanna Hauser

Deanna Hauser

Deanna Hauser earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, Master of Science in Management Information Systems, and her Doctorate in Business Administration - Information Systems from Baker College.

She has been teaching at Mid Michigan College since 2016. Prior to teaching at Mid she taught at Monroe County Community College. All told, Deanna has over 15 years of teaching experience, between corporate training and academic teaching.

Hauser is a member of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). She is also a member of Zonta International, and is currently on the board of the Zonta Club of Mt. Pleasant.

Brian Wyllys


Brian earned four Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer and Mathematical Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Engineering from Lake Superior State University (LSSU). He earned his Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Central Michigan University (CMU).

He has been teaching at Mid since 2006 and Davenport University since 2005. He has previously worked at CMU as a graduate assistant and at LSSU as a teaching assistant.

Beyond his work, he enjoys continuing education, music, and video games.

Justin Plevinski


Justin earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technologies and Psychology from Central Michigan University (CMU). He also holds a Master of Arts in the Humanities and a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, where he studied the effects of technology on culture and human relationships. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Central Michigan University in Educational Leadership focusing on the use of technology to support student success.

Justin has over 10 years of IT experience working as a System Administrator, Web Programmer, Network Technician, and Computer Repair Technician.

Justin has been teaching at Mid since 2011 and taught at CMU from 2012 until 2015.

Beyond his work, he enjoys spending time with his family, photography, videography, working out, and spending time outdoors.
