Technical Education Centers in Mt. Pleasant and Harrison

MMCC offers modernized and newly constructed or renovated Technical Education Centers to provide state-of-the-art lab spaces for students to engage in hands-on learning on the most modern technologies.

Our Technical Education Centers intend to be direct pipelines, offering training that leads to local employment. MMCC staff collaborate with area employers, assessing their employment needs, and creating customized programming that responds to those needs. That means that students who enter our short-term programming will receive skill-specific training that equips them to get local jobs fast.

Harrison’s Technical Education Center houses manufacturing and CNC skills labs, along with our Plastics Technology program, and HRA/HVAC skills lab. All of these learning environments have been upgraded since 2011.  The Plastics Technology areas are new as of 2014.

In Mt. Pleasant, the Morey Technical Education Center was completed in 2014. This facility houses CAD and welding lab areas, and offers other flexible space to support short term training in industrial or manufacturing skills. It also houses the area Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
