Meet the Vet Rep

Chris Stanton

Chris Stanton

Chris is a military veteran who was in the Army National Guard for six years as a mechanic from 2006-2012 and went on a deployment to Afghanistan in 2009.

He received his Associate Degree in Baccalaureate Studies from Mid Michigan Community College, and he then transferred to Central Michigan University (CMU) where he majored in integrated public relations with a minor in entrepreneurship. While attending Central Michigan University, he held the position of community outreach coordinator for CMU's Student Veterans of America chapter.

Upon graduating from CMU, Chris accepted a job with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. He is now Mid's Veteran Resource Representative for the Michigan Veterans Education Initiative . In this role, he assists veterans, soldiers and dependents access the veteran benefits that they deserve. Veterans most often need assistance in four areas of their lives: Education, Employment, Health Care, Quality of life.
