Official Course Description

This course contains a study of the prime factors in radiographic techniques determination, the geometric and photographic basis of radiographic image formation, and how these relate to radiographic quality. Methods of technical conversions for adjusting radiographic technique to maintain radiographic quality are studied. An overview of the different systems of radiographic techniques is presented and students learn how to formulate a radiographic technique system. The basic principles of digital imaging are presented. Lab exercises augment the instruction. Prerequisites: RAD.100 and RAD.110 Corequisites: RAD.130
