Official Course Description

This lab is coordinated with the lectures presented in Therapeutic Exercise. Students practice basic therapeutic exercise and fitness techniques. Students implement flexibility, strength, endurance, relaxation, and coordination programs. Students will also practice patient mobility with transfer techniques, wheelchairs, and assistive devices. Posture assessment and proper body mechanics are emphasized. Prerequisites: Admission into the program Corequisites: PTA.105, 106, 110, 115 & 116
