This course will introduce students to the basic fundamentals of production planning, scheduling and controlling, such as the development and application of software solutions, inventory management, and lean production concepts. Topics include: forecasting, sales and operations, scheduling, materials requirements, capacity management, production control, "partnering" activities, and system integration. The materials presented in the course are applicable in many different disciplines and manufacturing facilities beyond Plastics that involve the planning, scheduling and controlling of production. Prerequisite: PLT.101 or Permission of Instructor
