Official Course Description

This course presents information on how to assist the pharmacist in an institutional pharmacy. Students will learn about the basic structure and functioning of an intuitional pharmacy. Students will gain hands-on experience in sterile and non-sterile compound product preparation. Emphasis will be on aseptic technique and parenteral product preparation where students develop skills in the manipulation of parenteral drug products. Corequisites: PHT.104, PHT.105, PHT.106
