Official Course Description

In this course, film will be approached as an important sociological and cultural artifact and as both primary and secondary sources of historical information and insight. This course will also introduce the student to the techniques of this unique art form. The goal is to learn how to watch film from an analytical perspective. Students will need to pay additional fees for Netflix and iTunes rentals/subscriptions, at an approximate cost of $75. Prerequisite: ENG.111
