Official Course Description

This course is designed to introduce students, to specific verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills that will allow them to succeed in their performance of duty as Law Enforcement and Correctional Professionals. Students will be introduced to a variety of communication styles with emphasis placed on interpersonal communication strategies. Written communication skills will be taught specific to the reports necessary in Law Enforcement and Corrections fields. Prerequisites: SPE.101 or SPE.257
