This course serves as a general introduction for students to acquire a foundation of knowledge and skills with current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security concepts. Students will develop an in-depth knowledge of systems security, access control, network infrastructure, security assessments, security audits, cryptography and organizational security. Students will implement and monitor security on networks, applications, and operating systems. This course is designed to help students prepare for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. Corequisites: CIS.170
