Lori has held many different jobs throughout her adult life to include, RV & cargo trailer manufacturing, retail, collections, private aviation charter, restaurant management/waitressing, and Human Resources.

She started her career in education with Glen Oaks Community College working in their admissions department. During this time, she pursued and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University.

Shortly after completing her Bachelor’s degree she joined the Michigan Army National Guard, where she currently holds the rank of First Lieutenant as an Operations Officer with the 1461st Transportation Company, in Jackson, MI.

After several years at Glen Oaks CC she moved to the K-12 sector as the Human Resources Manager for a public school and ISD for over 6 years before coming to Mid Michigan.

While working full-time in the HR field, Lori completed her Masters of Leadership degree with an HR emphasis from Trine University.

In her spare time Lori loves to spend time with her husband, 2-year son, and 17-year-old daughter volunteering in various community service projects. She also enjoys running, any activity where she is outside, and reading.

Greg joined the Personnel Services team in 2015 and directs the professional development initiatives and serves as a leadership and performance coach for the college. He also administers the PACE survey, the online Safe Colleges compliance modules, and the performance review process.

During his 14 years in education, Greg has held roles as the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Kirtland Community College, distance education administrator, adjunct instructor of anatomy and physiology, online course developer, and K-12 athletic director and teacher.

Greg has Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Saginaw Valley University, a BA in Education from Adrian College, and is currently earning a graduate certificate in Human Resources from Central Michigan University. Greg is also a Certified Faculty Developer (CFD), Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA), certified DDI facilitator, and a professionally certified K-12 teacher in the State of Michigan in Health, Physical Education and Recreation and Sociology.

In his spare time, Greg coaches youth soccer, teaches after school STEM programs using LEGO bricks, and loves to fish.

Dawn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Management from Oakland University. She has over 20 years of experience working in the payroll, benefits and human resources fields. She has worked for both the private and public sector in organizations such as rehabilitation therapies, employee leasing, media publishing, and community mental health.

In her current role she manages the talent management platform and recruitment program, organizes the on-boarding of new employees, and coordinates the educational tuition, employee and family grant programs. She has been a volunteer leader on the Board of Mid Michigan Human Resource Association for over 10 years.

In her spare time, Dawn enjoys spending time with family, golfing, bowling and reading.


David Ferris

David moved to Mount Pleasant from Toronto, Canada and obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Toronto.

David’s occupational background is in financial services administration, working with group benefits insurance plans, loan fulfilment, and mutual fund investment. He has also worked for the Canadian federal government, for the Toronto Humane Society, and on film sets as a key-grip/gaffer/camera-assistant, as well as a photographer’s assistant.

David has an avid interest in language and is fluently bilingual in French. He loves travelling, cooking, and practicing Aikido.
