Class Description

In this hands-on class, Louann Philo will walk you through the process of turning an outdated furniture or decor piece into a one-of-a-kind treasure with chalk paint and wax.

  • Bring one piece to upcycle no larger than an end-table. Examples of appropriate pieces include chairs, bar stools, plant stands, jewelry cabinets, magazine racks, dresser drawers, flatware boxes, and lamps, just to name a few.
  • Items can be made of glass, metal, or wood.
  • All supplies provided (chalk paints, wax, brushes, aprons, etc.)
  • Just show up ready to work!

Louann Philo

My passion for DIY decor started during my teenage years as just a hobby. My mother owned an interior design business, and she helped develop my talent for painting and decorating. Several years ago, I completed a furniture refinishing class and began to hunt for hidden treasures at garage sales and flew markets. After nearly thirty years of bringing forgotten pieces back to life, I know feature my creations regularly at a local artisan shop in Clare, Michigan.

We'd love to answer them!
