Class Description

When can a child be forward-facing? Which car seat is the safest and best? Are used car seats purchased second hand safe? Which is safer: LATCH or seat belt? Do car seats expire?

Nearly 4 out of 5 car seats are used incorrectly! Could yours be one of them? Come learn how to secure your child the right way!

In this session you will learn

  • How to properly install a car seat
  • How to decide which direction a car seat should face
  • Safety features of a car seat
  • Vehicle safety features and how it works with your car seat
  • How to determine if a car seat has been recalled or is expired
  • When a child can safely move to a booster seat
  • The difference between high back and backless booster seats

Who should attend

This session is recommended for expectant parents, grandparents, caretakers, and for those who transport newborn through toddler aged children up to 50 lbs.
