1965 Study Committee Thanked in MMCC Board Resolution

Feb 17, 2015 — Fifty years ago, through conversations across Clare and Gladwin Counties, community members identified a need to expand the higher education offerings in the mid-Michigan area. As a result of those conversations, a Study Committee comprised of school administrators and citizens embarked on determining the feasibility of creating and sustaining a local community college. Jan 9, 2015 — The employees at Mid Michigan Community College took time again this year to help area children have a merry Christmas. The employees hosted a Christmas party for 60 children from Clare and Gladwin Counties, complete with Santa and presents donated by MMCC faculty and staff. Continue reading

Jan 7, 2015 — Congratulations to the Fall 2014 Honors and High Honors students. To achieve Honors, a student must have completed at least 12 credit hours and achieved a GPA of 3.5 through 3.89. High Honors is 3.9 through 4.0. Continue reading

Dec 10, 2014 — The Mid Michigan Community College Foundation’s program, Students of Promise, recently inducted its ninth group of students. Twenty-three seventh grade students, selected from Beaverton, Clare, Farwell, Gladwin, and Harrison school districts, were welcomed into the program with a formal ceremony and reception. MMCC Receives $25,000 from Consumers Energy Foundation

Nov 19, 2014 — Mid Michigan Community College has received a $25,000 grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation in support of its new Morey Technical Education Center. The $3.4 Million Technical Center, located on MMCC’s Mt. Pleasant campus, was made possible through community support and the generous contributions of local donors and charitable organizations. Nov 6, 2014 — On Friday, October 10th, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society inducted 48 new members into the Alpha Omicron Omicron Chapter at Mid Michigan Community College. To join the honor society, students must have a 3.5 Grade Point Average or higher and have completed at least 12 credit hours at MMCC. Continue reading
