Registration for the winter semester is now underway at Mid Michigan College. The winter semester begins January 5, 2019, and students should register as soon as possible so they can build a schedule that fits their life from the widest selection of classes.

To encourage early registration, students registering before 4PM on Friday, November 16, 2018 are automatically entered into a drawing for the chance to win one of three prizes: 3 credits at Mid (includes free tuition and fees) and a designated parking space at the campus of their choice; a Mid blanket, hat, scarf, and $25 Bookstore Gift Certificate; or a Mid travel mug and $25 Bookstore Gift Certificate. Students who registered for classes prior to the announcement of this drawing are also entered automatically. The winning students will be announced November 19.

“Mid is offering more online courses than ever before and new programs in emerging fields like Public Health” said Karry Kiste-Toner, Director of Mentoring and Retention at Mid.“It’s important that continuing students register for winter to continue their momentum toward a degree, and that new students attend orientation, apply for financial aid, and register for classes as soon as possible.”

Students at Mid now get more individualized attention than ever before. All new students are paired with a Mid Mentor who serves as an ally and advocate for their success from application through graduation. Academic Advisors further this personalized approach to student success by assisting students in course selection and creating an educational pathway based on each student’s individual goals.

“Mid provides a quality education that saves students $11,000-$16,000 on average when compared to other public colleges and universities,” noted Brent Mishler, Director of Admissions at Mid.“These savings paired with classes that transfer easily and personalized support for student success, make Mid a great choice.”
