This fall, Mid Michigan Community College will offer two sessions of Truck Driving Training. Successful completion of this five-week, 240-hour course and its associated written and driving exams provides participants their CDL Class A licenses.

A Mt. Pleasant training course will begin on October 19th at the College’s Morey Technical Center. A session at MMCC’s Harrison campus will begin on November 16th.

The trainings include information about key functions of vehicle systems, safety protocols, and Federal and State regulations and requirements. Students will also practice vehicle handling and operation in both range and street conditions.

Through Michigan Works!, funding may be available to offset the program’s $4,300 costs. Interested individuals can contact a local Michigan Works! office or MMCC to learn more about cost assistance options.

For more information about the program or to reserve a space in either session, visit midmich.edu/cdl or contact MMCC’s Technical Education Center at 989.386.6614 or kboggs@midmich.edu.
