MMCC Offers CNA Training Sessions
This spring, Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) will offer two sessions of CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) training—one session each at the College’s Mt. Pleasant and Harrison campuses. Both locations’ trainings will begin on May 9th, and they will include 60 hours of classroom and 60 hours of clinical, hands-on instruction.
To accommodate all schedules, Mt. Pleasant offers evening sessions, and Harrison’s classes and clinicals occur during the day.
Successful completion of the six-week training and its associated written exam provides participants their CNA certifications. Completing students will be able to provide quality health care to clients in health care facilities.
Employment rates continue to grow for this rewarding career, which anticipates a 17% growth in jobs over the next few years.
The cost for the training is $1,600, but eligible students can have some or all costs offset through MI Works! or MI Rehab Services Funding. Interested individuals can contact their local agencies or MMCC to learn more about cost assistance options.
