Miles Jamieson, a Mid Michigan College student-athlete from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, was named NJCAA Division II Baseball Player of the Week. Jamieson threw the second no-hitter in Mid Michigan College Baseball history covering 7 innings, allowing no-hits, no walks, and striking out 8 batters along the way. The only baserunner reached via error.
“We’re glad to see that Miles’ strong performance was recognized by the NJCAA,” noted Ryan Harkrader, Mid Michigan College Athletic Director. “This is a well-deserved honor and I’m confident that we’ll see more stellar performances from him as the season continues.”
Mid’s baseball team is currently 25-12 overall and 14-6 in conference play, sitting just 2.5 games out of first place in the MCCAA Western Conference. The playoffs start Tuesday, May 10, and the team is looking to make a strong showing.
