The Online Learning and Programming teams completed the Moodle 3 upgrade prior to 2017FA. Starting with a pilot of volunteer instructors during the 2017WI semester, the new version of Moodle went through a long and thorough testing process, which culminated in a large-scale pilot in the 2017SP semester with all online and face-to-face courses given Moodle shells in the temporary pilot environment. Along the way, the Online Learning and Instructional Design team shared weekly videos and tutorials in the Mid Mich Weekly -https://www.midmich.edu/audiences/employees/mid-mich-weekly . All of these resources are available to faculty within the Orientation for Faculty Moodle shell - https://moodle.midmich.edu/course/view.php?id=17743 .

Throughout Fall semester, we will be moving Spring content from the pilot environment back to the main Moodle environment. Thank you to everyone who used Moodle 3 in winter and spring, and we hope students and instructors will enjoy the new features and cleaner look of Moodle 3.
