Additional windows and more open floorplans on both the first and second floor bring in natural light and provide beautiful views of the campus grounds. Student lounge areas throughout the building provide comfortable places to gather. The campus store (pictured here) and the Laker Cafe (adjacent to this area) are relocated nearer to classrooms for ease of access.

Campus Store

The Campus Store is accented with College colors and brightened by windows or glass walls on three sides.

Active Learning Center

Active Learning Rooms promote connected learning. Students can gather around one monitor, connected to all their devices, for real-time collaboration on projects.

Esther C. Conference Room

The second floor conference room can be separated into two smaller conference areas. It's fully equipped with new furniture and technology, and it offers stunning views overlooking campus.

Student Lounge / Student Union

Furniture and final touches are still taking place. But, the main corridor on the first floor consolidates student support services like the HelpDesk, security, food pantry, and veteran services into one place, while adding open areas, student work stations, and student lounges.

Laker Life / Student Meeting Rooms

Student meeting rooms in the main corridor provide space for clubs and groups to gather, plan, and socialize.

Help Desk Service area

The new, prominent location and glass front of the IT HelpDesk encourage students to get assistance.

Fitness Center

The new fitness center is open and features a variety of equipment.

Veterans Resource Center

Located off the main corridor, the Veterans Resource Center is larger and more prominent to better serve Mid's military-connected students.

Campus Cupboard - Food Pantry

The first of many shipments has arrived for the Campus Cupboard, Mid's food pantry. This service provides enrolled students with up to six non-perishable food items each week.

Student Union Lounge spaces
