Next Steps

Add myMid to your phone’s home screen for easy access to useful tools and important updates. Access Self-Service, campus events, your financial aid, schedule, grades, course cancellation notifications, and more.

It is vital that you check your Mid Mich Email. We will begin sending you important information about your financial aid and next steps immediately. Visit MyMid, click Account Setup, and follow the prompts. To complete this process you must have a non-Mid Mich email or personal email on record with the College. You likely provided this email on your Admissions Application. If you can’t recall or no longer have access to that email, contact your Mid Mentor for assistance.

Several courses at Mid have prerequisites that must be met before you can register. Guest Students have often satisfied prerequisites at their "home" college/university, but Mid is unable to access that information. This could prevent you from registering for courses through Self-Service.

To verify that you have met the prerequisites required at Mid, follow the steps below.

  1. Fax an unofficial transcript from the college/university where you completed the prerequisite course to (989) 772-2386. You may also email the unofficial transcript to enrollment@midmich.edu.
  2. Identify what Mid course you wish to enroll in and which course on your unofficial transcript you believe satisfies our prerequisite.
  3. Include your name, Mid Michigan College Student ID Number, phone number, and email address in your correspondence.
  4. Once we have verified that you have completed the prerequisite(s), we email you a confirmation. At this point, you can utilize Self-Service to register and pay for the course.

This process may take time to complete. Our email confirmation in no way guarantees that a spot will be available when you attempt to register. Follow the steps above in a timely fashion, paying close attention to critical registration dates and deadlines.

Complete additional placement testing (if necessary)

Appropriate placement in courses promotes your success and allows us to assist you in selecting courses that align with your current skill levels. If you do not have access to transcripts or test scores, you may need to do additional placement testing. Your Mid Mentor can help you determine what you need to submit or what testing needs to be completed.

Visit Registration & Records at either campus to register in person. To register online, sign in to myMid and click the 'Register for Courses' link. You will then need to log in to Self-Service. Use this helpful guide to go through the registration process step-by-step. If you need help, email enrollment@midmich.edu for assistance.

Payment must be made by the full tuition due date. Tuition can be paid online, in Student Services, or through Self-Service.

Remember that Guest Students are not eligible for financial aid through Mid Michigan College. The federal government only allows you to apply for financial aid through one school at a time, and that should be your home college/university where you are earning the bulk of your credits. If you won’t be enrolled at any other school, contact us about the possibility of using financial aid at Mid.
