If you're enrolled full time at another college or university, you can round out your schedule and save money by also enrolling as a Guest Student at Mid.

Registering for classes at MMMCC requires a few basic steps. In fact, you may have already completed many of them.

Step 1

STEP 1: Set up your MidMich Email and Online Account.

You should set up your MMCC online Portal account. Some College departments will begin sending you important information right away. This is your college email and will be used for all college communication.

Please complete the following steps:

  1. Go to
  2. Click on the Portal link in the upper right hand corner
  3. Click on the Account setup link in the upper right hand corner
  4. Read the information to set up your username and password
  5. Now that you have your username and password,
  6. Click on Login in the upper right corner
  7. Click the Email link in the upper left corner to get your e-mail.

This PORTAL GUIDE will help show you the process of setting up your MMCC account if you still have questions.

Step 2

Verify You've met Course Prerequisites.

Several courses at MMCC have prerequisites that must be satisfied prior to enrollment in the course. Often times Guest Students have satisfied prerequisites at their "home" college/university. However, colleges/universities do not generally share prerequisite information with one another. So we would have no knowledge if you actually completed a prerequisite for one of our courses at another college/university. This could prevent you from registering through our online system (Midweb).

To verify that you have met our prerequisites, please follow the steps below:

  1. Fax an unofficial transcript from the college/university where you completed the prerequisite course to (989) 772-2386. You may also e-mail the unofficial transcript to;
  2. Identify what MMCC course you wish to enroll in, and which course on your unofficial transcript you believe satisfies our prerequisite;
  3. Include your name, MMCC student ID number, phone number, and e-mail address on your correspondence.
  4. Once we have verified that you have completed the prerequisite(s), we will email you a confirmation. At this point you will be able to utilize our Midweb system to register and pay for the course.

Please note that this process may take some time to complete. And our email confirmation in no way guarantees that a spot will be available when you attempt to register. So please follow the steps above in a timely fashion, paying close attention to critical registration timelines.

Complete additional placement testing if necessary

Appropriate placement in courses promotes student success and allows us to assist students in selecting courses that align with their skill levels. To place you correctly, we'll need this information from you. If you do not have access to one or both of these documents, you may need to do additional placement testing. Your Mid Mentor can help you determine what you need to submit or what testing needs to be completed.


STEP 3: Arrange Payment.

Students who register prior to the full tuition due date will be expected to pay the Enrollment Fee upon registration ($25 or $50 depending on course load). This fee "holds" a spot for the student in his/her classes. The remaining tuition is due on the full tuition due date. Students that register after the full tuition due date will be expected to pay the tuition in full at the time of registration. The Enrollment Fee and tuition can be paid on MidWeb, in Enrollment Services, or through our Cashier's Office.

Remember that Guest Students are not eligible for financial aid through MMCC. The federal government will only allow you to apply for financial aid through one school per semester and that should be your home school where you are earning the bulk of your credits


Register Online or In-Person

Visit either campus' registration clerk to register in-person.
