by mmiller at 10:36am on Aug 21st, 2010

The Mid Michigan Community College Lakers will be holding open tryouts for the men's and women's basketball teams on August 24, 2010 at Morey Courts in Mt. Pleasant at 7pm.

After two years of successfully sponsoring soccer teams, Mid Michigan Community College is preparing to field both men's and women's basketball teams this winter.

With over 7,000 students at MMCC, an athletic program provides a more full college experience and complements the other student clubs and events that are available.  MMCC's athletic program is funded by a student activity fee, which also supports student activities, groups, clubs, and the student/community fitness center.

To be eligible for the team, players must have previous basketball experience and must be enrolled in at least one class in the Fall semester.  Participants are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to fill out information forms.
